Dr. Sukhdeep (Sukhi) Singh
Dr. Sukhdeep (Sukhi) Singh is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College, class of 2005. She got into the field of veterinary medicine at the tender age of 13 where she learned how to nurture and love animals. Her parents had expected her to become a medical doctor and despite their protestations she followed her calling in life.
Dr. Singh comes from a traditional “Sikh” family. The word Sikh means student.
To this end, Dr. Singh has devoted her life to honing her skills as a Veterinary practitioner, to continue to provide the best medicine and care to her patients. She takes special interest in Dentistry, diagnostics, and feline internal medicine.
She is a devoted mother to a 10-year-old daughter, a loving wife to family physician and the oldest sister to 3 more siblings. One of her sisters, Nav, works as her Office Manager in her practice.
Her goals as a practitioner are to provide affordable and professional veterinary care, maintain the highest level of transparency, and practice in an environment that is safe for pets, pet owners and staff is what drove her to open her own practice. Hence Balmy Beach Pet Hospital.
Nav is the Office Manager at Balmy Beach Pet Hospital. With hard work and sheer determination she got admitted to Ontario Veterinary College at 22 years of age, however had to discontinue her path to becoming a Veterinarian due to personal and health reasons. She nonetheless continued to apply her passion in the field of veterinary medicine. She’s worked at the veterinary emergency clinic and also volunteered at Wildlife Centre.
She especially loves cats and has two, named Alu and Layla. She’s currently also fostering two cats for Toronto Cat Rescue, whom she named after the famous Indian appetizer, “Paneer” and “Pakora”.
In her free time, Nav likes to travel, go shopping and also binge-watch reality television.
